Q. How many treatments are recommended to have an improved look?

A. One Vi Peel will significantly repair skin, and add a healthy glow. It is an excellent aging prevention action to achieve younger skin without visible damage.

Q. How long will results last?

A. Since skin needs maintenance, the Vi Peel’s superior results will last as long as skin care is properly cared for, and sun exposure is moderate. To prevent aging with the Vi Peel it is usually performed three to four times a year.

Q. Will the Vi Peel burn?

A. Patients usually feel a slight stinging sensation for a few seconds which subsides almost immediately. The topically applied peel numbs skin after the first pass. Some patients may feel more comfortable using a fan or cold air breeze.

Q. How much will the patient peel?

A. Peeling associated with the Vi Peel is light, fluffy, and starts on day three and generally is finished by the end of day four. It can be easily hidden by moisturizer; the peel is virtually invisible in some cases.

Q. What will the patient’s appearance be after the Vi Peel?

A. The skin will be slightly tan to red immediately after the peel. In one or two days skin feels slightly tighter, and there are no visible signs of that a client had a peel except for a slight tan, which appears as if the patient just returned from a relaxing weekend away. Usually on the third day the patient begins to peel, and continues to peel for a day or two. After six or seven days the patient is generally done peeling, and the results are dramatic!

Q. What will a Vi Peel do for skin?

A. It will tackle skin problems at the cellular level, not at the surface. The synergistic actions of its many acids and vitamins help erase fine lines and wrinkles, minimize pore appearance, and build collagen and elastin to tighten skin. Vi Peel is extremely effective in reducing or eliminating hyper pigmentation including melasma. It can also provide amazing results for patients with acne.

Q. How many treatments will be needed?

A. For really damaged skin the peel may be repeated as often as every two weeks, if necessary. We recommend patients with average skin type to have a peel once every three months to prevent damage and the underlying aging of the skin.

Q. If a social event is coming up can a patient wear makeup after the Vi Peel?

A. Makeup may be used at any time after the peel solution has dried; however, it should not be applied on the days that the skin is peeling. Makeup can then be resumed at any time after the skin peels.

Q. Can the peel be used on hands or chest?

A. A Vi Peel is effectively removes sunspots from hands and chest.

Q. What are the final results of a single Vi Peel?

A. It takes approximately four days after the patient finishes peeling for skin to return to its normal PH and to see the final effects. The skin will look luminous and glowing. The patient will feel refreshed with slightly tighter skin. Hyper-pigmentation will be improved or gone, depending on the amount of damage. The texture of the skin will be improved, and will have a more youthful appearance.

Q. Will skin be more sensitive after the Vi Peel?

A. Sensitivity is greatest during the peel. However, the patient may experience it up to four days of sensitivity until the PH of the skin is completely replenished.

Q. Can a Vi Peel tighten neck skin?

A. Yes, the skin responds well to a Vi Peel. It helps improve texture and quality by gradually softening lines and with some tightening effects.

Q. Can the patient be in the sun after the Vi Peel?

A. Sun exposure should be limited. If exposure is cannot be avoided adequate protection with a sunscreen should be used. Sun exposure should be avoided during the third and fourth day when the skin is peeling to prevent uneven exposure. After that, the client may enjoy moderate sun exposure as wanted.

Q. What about exercise after the Vi Peel?

A. The solution has to be left on the skin for five hours prior to exercising, as long as it is washed off immediately before starting any exercise.

Q. Can the Vi Peel help with precancerous cells?

A. The Vi Peel helps remove precancerous cells. A patient with a history of skin cancer should always consult with their dermatologist or surgeon on a regular basis, and talk about such treatments.
